SpeakPad does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
SpeakPad contains:
All data, including the child's name, communication boards, vocabulary items, and settings, is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.
SpeakPad offers two backup methods:
.speakpad backup file and share it via AirDrop, the Files app, email, or any method you choose. We never see or have access to your backup files.SpeakPad uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech engine (AVSpeechSynthesizer), which runs entirely on-device. No speech data is sent to any server.
SpeakPad is designed for children and complies with Apple's Kids Category guidelines. We do not collect any data from children or anyone else. There are no external links, advertisements, or in-app purchases accessible to children. Caregiver settings are protected behind a parental gate.
SpeakPad uses no third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks. The app is built entirely with Apple's native technologies.
SpeakPad includes the Mulberry Symbol Set (CC BY-SA 4.0) and ARASAAC symbols (© Government of Aragon, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). All symbols are bundled within the app and are not downloaded from the internet.
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new date. Given our commitment to zero data collection, we do not anticipate changes.
